COVID support and Mental Health Course

Last Saturday morning the Rotary Club of Foster catered for hungry Covid Vaccine clients at the Foster Medical Centre.  BBQ sausages with onions and sauce was the order of the day.  As well as providing the food it was a lovely time to catch up and chat with many of the locals who spent their 15 minute stay enjoying a snag.  Thanks to the Medical Centre staff for inviting the club to serve the community.

For the past two Sundays, in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Traralgon and Mental Health Nurses Ann and Sue from the Latrobe Regional Hospital, the Rotary Club of Foster ran a course on Youth Mental Health First Aid.  Three Rotarians, Peter Tilley, Bruce Standfield and Liz Hall attended along with other interested people from our area.  Much was learned about the mental health problems faced by young people and the response to the many issues they face.  Hopefully the knowledge gained can be put to good use for our younger generation.
